About Ramsgate

Ramsgate is located on the north eastern tip of Kent, England's oldest county. Situated in the Isle of Thanet, Ramsgate has the UK's only Royal Harbour Marina along with the highest number of Regency and Victorian buildings in the region.

The Isle of Thanet has been part of the mainland since the end of the 17th century and has 26 miles of coast, the longest stretch of chalk cliffs in the country and most of it accessible on foot or on two wheels. It also boasts the largest number of Blue Flag award winning beaches in the UK.

Out and About

A 10 minute stroll along the seafront will take you into the town centre, where you can take your pick from the cosmopolitan array of cafes, bars and restaurants.

A 25 minute walk north through the King George VI park will lead you to the Dickensian olde worldly charm of Broadstairs famous for its Italian ice cream parlours and restaurants.

Further afield, visit the city of Canterbury, a UNESCO World Heritage Site or take a mini cruise to Ostend in Belgium which is only 4 hours away.
